We just kicked off the Northwestern University OLCC coaching cohort of Spring 2021! I have a mix of emotions - mostly excitement meets self-doubt. I’ve started this learning journey, which I thought would be all about skills-based elements and frameworks for coaching. As it turns out, my capacity as coach will be limited and defined my own self-awareness, as discussed in The Completely Revised Handbook of Coaching. My mental models are so deeply ingrained, I look forward to not just acknowledging they exist, but looking at them to see how they’re filtering what I see and how I act. It’s a bit of a Catch-22, but bring it on. Let's Journey-Up.
